The Gois passage

Unique in Noirmoutier!

The Gois passage

The Passage du Gois is a 4.2-kilometer subterranean road that connects the island of Noirmoutier to the mainland.
Invisible half of the time, this fragile link is also a wonderful place full of life.
Whether covered by the ocean, or rising from the tides, the Gois attracts birds looking for food and a place to rest, as well as fishermen on foot and curious onlookers enjoying nature’s handiwork.
Crossing it is an exceptional experience!
